What is FHIR?
The Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource, or FHIR, is one of the most eective ways to create a data landscape that is
easily navigable for healthcare providers.
The FHIR is a standard, created by the Health Level Seven International (HL7) health-care standards organization, that
describes data formats and elements (known as “resources”), and an application programming interface (API) for exchanging
electronic health records (EHR). The goal of FHIR is to use modern techniques to quickly connect complicated systems in order
to simplify the tedious tasks taken on by providers.
Adopting FHIR standards allows providers to do away with multiple APIs and the dreaded fax machine; all the information
